Goa : India's Paradise

If you go backpacking in India, chances are that you spend the last days in relaxed Goa. Here you can get away from the Indian bustle and recharge with yoga, meditation, fun parties, and beautiful beaches.

You must have heard of Goa. A few years ago, this coastal province was known as the party destination of India, but stricter rules have curtailed party festivities. It is still fun and you can party like the best, but there are also plenty of places where it is nice and quiet. Book your tour for Goa with the tour operator in Udaipur.

Beaches of Goa

Goa does not have any notable sights; most tourists come here because of the beautiful beaches. Give them the wrong, because with more than 100 kilometers of coastline you have the beautiful beaches for the taking and paradise within reach. The coast of Goa is characterized by golden-yellow sandy beaches and long rows of waving palm trees. The seawater is quite wild and because of the high waves, it is not suitable for swimming in all places. Luckily on a towel or at a cozy beach bar, you can happily be the best here and you can even take boat trips to spot dolphins, for example.

Nightlife of Goa

The nightlife of Goa is notorious, although the really wild parties are now a thing of the past. Nowadays, strict rules apply to noise, drugs and opening times on many beaches, but that doesn't spoil the fun. You can dance in a silent disco and drink beer around a campfire. Do you feel like a good party? The beaches of Baja, Anjuna, and Vagator are among the most popular party destinations in Goa. Here you can visit larger parties and it goes on until late at night.

Palolem

Palolem is one of the most popular destinations in Goa and you will come across a lot of backpackers. The small coastal town is located in a photogenic bay and you have plenty of choice from affordable guesthouses. Both along the beach and in the village you will find a number of nice restaurants and there is plenty to see and do. For example, join a cooking class, do a yoga session on the beach or watch the fishermen bring in their catch every afternoon.

Patnem

A little bit south of Palolem lies the relaxed Patnem. This seaside resort is comparable to Palolem in terms of atmosphere, but it is a lot quieter and therefore attracts a different type of tourists. You have the same beautiful sea, beaches, and facilities within reach, but it is a lot less crowded. According to many, Patnem has the nicest beach in Goa, so stay there for a couple of nights.

Agonda

Are you really looking for the ultimate peace and beaches that you should share with as few people as possible? Then you can set the best course for Agonda, which is located in the south of Goa. This cozy coastal town is known for its relaxed atmosphere. You can spend the night in a cabin on the beach, but you can also choose from a few more luxurious resorts. What you can do in Agonda? Take walks along the beach, take massages and linger for a long time at one of the restaurants along the beach. With the best taxi service in Udaipur visit all the places of goa.

Vagator and Anjuna

If you are looking for a party in Goa, then you should be on the beaches of Anjuna and Vagator. Anjuna, in particular, has a strong reputation as a party destination, because here you will find the most popular night club in the entire area: Paradiso. In addition, you can also go to one of the many open-air parties in Anjuna. Vagator is a bit quieter in that regard, but still a major player in the rave culture. Anjuna is especially popular among Westerners, while Vagator is mainly visited by domestic tourists.

Arambol

Palolem was Goa's hippie destination for a long time, but Arambol has since taken over that title. In this cozy coastal town, you can take yoga and meditation classes, and live music is made on the beach almost every evening. The atmosphere is good and the people are nice, so a good reason to put this resort on your list.

Traveling to Goa - How to get there

Goa is a coastal province in western India and the gateway is Dabolim Airport. You can fly directly to Goa from various destinations throughout the country, and then continue your journey by taxi or public transport to your final destination. From the aforementioned places, you have good connections with the airport, but you can also easily travel further to other coastal towns. If you want to cross several beaches during your trip to Goa, renting a scooter can also be a good idea. You can best arrange that through your hotel or hostel.
